Manager - Transportation and Customs Operations

Responsibilities

• Ensure import/export pre-shipment document compliance in accordance with Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).
• Review and validate documentation including SIMS, NFMIMS, and BIS before shipments depart.
• Manage customs licenses such as Bank Guarantees, Continuity Bonds, and E-Bonds (MEIS, Advance Authorization).
• Handle HSN allocation and resolve queries with Sales, Procurement, and Project teams.
• Manage regulatory and financial controls including IDPMS/EDPMS/FEMA escalations and government incentive schemes like DBK and RoDTEP.
• Oversee logistics operations involving shipping lines, freight forwarders, and large-scale project cargo movements.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential delays across various GEA India locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Import/Export operations, specifically with EOU, DTA, and Project Logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) and customs compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Fluency in both English and Hindi.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of SOFTEX processes, including PO verification and MPR filing.
• Hands-on experience with EOU import/export compliance operations.
• Understanding of SVB, Provisional Duty (PD) Bonds, and BIS standards.
