About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a globally distributed test automation team, setting priorities, delivery plans, and operating rhythms.
- Design and evolve automation frameworks for mobile (iOS/Android), backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, actionable feedback and reduce regressions.
- Establish automation coverage strategies, quality gates, and release readiness criteria in partnership with Engineering and Product.
- Coach and develop engineers through code reviews, technical mentorship, and best-practice guidance.
- Partner with biosensor and analytics teams to validate data integrity and reliability through automated checks.
- Support compliance and audit readiness by producing maintainable evidence from automated pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years in software quality, test automation, or software engineering.
- 3+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Playwright, Jest, REST Assured).
- Experience with mobile automation (iOS and/or Android) for consumer-facing applications.
- Experience with API and service-level testing, including contract and integration testing.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and compliance requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Background validating data-intensive platforms like IoT, sensor data pipelines, or real-time processing.
- Experience with AI/ML system testing, including model validation and drift detection.
- Experience with medical device software quality or bio-wearable technology.
- Proficiency with non-functional testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
