Manager - Technology Development

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab-scale experimentation to generate data for unit operations including reaction, distillation, extraction, crystallization, and filtration.
• Manage process scale-up activities from Kilo Lab and Pilot Plant to commercial scale.
• Identify hardware requirements and propose plant modifications for commercial-scale production.
• Perform HAZOP analysis and safety studies using DSC, TGA, and Reaction Calorimeters to re-engineer hazardous operations.
• Execute particle characterization studies using PVM and FBRM to assess process impact on morphology and size distribution.
• Develop solvent recovery methods and effluent treatment plans to ensure cost-effectiveness and environmental compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation including EHS packages, Solvent Recovery Packages, and Process Engineering Documents.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as R&D, QA, QC, and Manufacturing to ensure successful technology transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 0-4 years of experience in technology development or process engineering.
• Thorough knowledge of chemical engineering unit operations, process design, and scale-up.
• Strong understanding of cGMP and GLP guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio) and experience with process simulation studies.
• Strong problem-solving, project execution, and communication skills.
