Manager Technical Publications

Responsibilities

• Lead the Americas and EMEA branches of the Global Technical Publications team, managing projects, processes, and personnel.
• Prioritize and coordinate work to support product release schedules across multiple business units and time zones.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports to drive performance and long-term career growth.
• Serve as a liaison between Technical Publications and internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and engineering.
• Write and edit technical documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all content.
• Monitor team compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and localization best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of people-management experience, preferably leading globally distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or Business Writing).
• Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience.
• Experience writing content for localization and collaborating with international teams.
• Proficiency with MadCap Flare, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Huntsville, AL, and support multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Technical Writer.
• Familiarity with AI technologies within the technical writing and documentation field.
• Experience with Smartsheet, CSS, XML, and XHTML.
• Experience analyzing team performance data and reporting on key metrics.
