Manager - Taxation

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end GST compliance, including monthly payments, return filings, reconciliations, and MIS reporting.
• Oversee adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements related to indirect taxation.
• Manage GST audits, pre-GST assessment proceedings, and respond to queries from statutory bodies.
• Lead litigation management by driving timely action on appeals and coordinating representation before tribunals and courts.
• Stay updated on evolving GST and indirect tax laws to assess and communicate business impacts.
• Implement efficient documentation systems for returns, audit papers, and litigation documents.
• Lead, mentor, and monitor the indirect tax team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Drive indirect tax strategy and identify tax planning opportunities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in indirect taxation.
• CA, CMA, or LLB qualification preferred.
• Experience working in a SAP-enabled ERP environment.
• Strong understanding of GST, indirect tax regulations, and litigation processes.
• Proven experience in leading and managing tax teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and representation skills.
• Experience in Big Four consulting or a large manufacturing organization is an advantage.
