Manager, Tax Technology

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance tax-related systems, focusing on indirect tax engines and services
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to embed tax requirements into core platforms
• Own ERP tax configuration and maintenance, including tax codes and setup
• Support the integration and optimization of external tax engines across ERP, billing, and payment systems
• Ensure systems are configured to support indirect tax compliance, including e-invoicing and real-time reporting
• Define and maintain tax-relevant data models to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Translate complex tax requirements into clear functional specifications and system logic
• Identify opportunities to automate and simplify tax processes through improved system use

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in tax technology, tax systems, or tax transformation projects
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience translating indirect tax requirements into system configurations and determination logic
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and indirect tax engines
• Proficiency with automation tools and data analytics platforms such as Alteryx or PowerBI
• Strong ability to analyze transaction flows and identify tax determination gaps or data quality issues
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical logic to non-technical stakeholders
