Manager, Systems Performance

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Optimization Console Specialists to ensure technical rigor and risk awareness
• Provide oversight of daily optimization activities and act as an escalation point for complex operational decisions
• Partner with Gas Control, Operations Planning, Commercial, and Engineering teams to ensure cross-functional integration
• Drive performance outcomes including fuel avoidance, throughput improvements, and proactive risk mitigation
• Oversee the use and evolution of optimization tools such as SCADA, Power BI, and SEEQ
• Maintain governance, assurance, and compliance for console operations, including regulatory and internal obligations
• Lead investigations and learning reviews for process deviations or near misses

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a leadership role
• Post-secondary education in engineering, science, or a related discipline
• Proven experience managing technically complex, high-risk operational teams
• Strong understanding of gas pipeline operations, system constraints, and risk-based decision-making
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for varied audiences
• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness during periods of high workload or operational stress

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building governance and assurance processes, including procedures, audits, and training
• Experience using data and analytics (e.g., Power BI, SEEQ) to drive operational decisions
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and ways of working
