About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of central student support operations and transition/retention initiatives in collaboration with Faculties.
  • Develop and implement best practice support programs for domestic and international students at academic risk.
  • Oversee end-to-end initiatives for students at risk in accordance with HESA 2003, including risk mitigation and communication plans.
  • Coordinate dedicated orientation and social programs for international students in compliance with ESOS requirements.
  • Lead the Student Advocate team and provide guidance regarding University policies and procedures.
  • Analyze student interaction data and advocacy trends to design and implement targeted support initiatives.
  • Ensure all programs comply with ESOS Act and TEQSA requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience in business, education, finance, law, or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian higher education system.
  • Expert knowledge of policies and best practices relating to student engagement, transition, and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to develop evidence-based support strategies.
  • Extensive experience leading and implementing project and change management programs.
  • Proven ability to build and manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Valid Working With Children Check.
