Manager, Subcontracts

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team to support construction activities for a major project
• Oversee all phases of subcontracting, including pre-award (bidder qualification, ITB issuance, evaluations) and post-award (administration, change management, invoicing, and closeout)
• Serve as the primary Subcontracts interface for the Client, Project Management Team, and internal stakeholders
• Develop and implement subcontracting strategies to support project execution and mitigate commercial risk
• Provide leadership and oversight to ensure consistent processes, compliance, and performance across the team
• Contribute to the improvement of subcontracting processes, tools, and procedures
• Ensure all subcontract files and documentation are maintained according to company standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• 15+ years of experience in subcontract formation and administration
• Prior experience serving as a Lead Subcontracts Manager within an integrated project team environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, risk awareness, and high attention to detail
