About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Student Equity unit in developing and implementing university-wide strategies to support access and success for underrepresented cohorts.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders regarding student equity issues and institutional priorities.
- Represent the Student Equity unit at strategic university forums and working groups to influence policy and practice.
- Oversee the conceptualisation, development, and evaluation of equity and access initiatives.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in education or a related area, or equivalent professional competency.
- Extensive management experience in the strategic development and implementation of equity and access initiatives.
- Proven leadership experience in strategic planning, team management, and project leadership.
- Strong expertise in budget development, resource management, and financial oversight.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to hold a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and a "C" class driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel to regional and remote centres and participate in residential camps.
