Manager, Structural Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering design and development for temporary infrastructure and renovation projects
• Direct internal and external engineers and consultants
• Analyze existing infrastructure for supplemental structural improvements
• Integrate structural designs into venue designs with architects and engineers
• Develop design guides adapting IOC requirements to local practice
• Prepare structural venue design books from concept through construction drawings
• Manage review processes and oversee installation teams during operations
• Partner across Energy, Technology, Villages, Finance, and Procurement departments

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in structural engineering infrastructure design and construction
• Accredited bachelor's degree in structural engineering
• Experience leading diverse teams on complex infrastructure projects
• Experience managing external consultants
• Advanced knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Office360, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and Autodesk Cloud
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and project management fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) license in California
• Project Management or Construction certifications
• Experience with U.S. and California design and construction
• Experience with large events involving temporary infrastructure and rigging
