About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop global and local market sales pipelines to achieve sponsorship revenue goals
- Cultivate category prospects through market research, focusing on international markets
- Build relationships with corporate decision-makers and influencers within the European and global marketing ecosystem
- Manage the full sales cycle, including contact strategy, presentations, negotiation, and contract execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Media, IT, Football Operations) to develop customized marketing platforms
- Create strategic, customized partnership proposals and presentations
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and documentation
- Provide line management and support to the Sponsorship Business Development Coordinator
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sponsorship sales or business development
- Demonstrated experience in European or global sponsorship markets
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Ability to create compelling, detailed client-facing materials
- Valid passport for international travel
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in French and/or Spanish
- Strong knowledge of the sports marketing and sponsorship landscape
- Proven ability to leverage professional networks to reach senior-level marketing executives
- Expertise in industry research, prospecting, and pitch ideation
