Manager Specialist AOD Services

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee specialist Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services to ensure high-quality, person-centred care
• Drive service development and innovation to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, sector stakeholders, and internal teams
• Support and mentor team leaders through supervision, coaching, and professional guidance
• Manage operational performance, including budgets, service delivery, compliance, and risk management
• Champion integration across AOD and mental health systems to support sector reform
• Strengthen workforce capability, including supporting lived and living experience roles

Requirements

• Strong leadership experience within the AOD or broader human services sector
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage programs, and drive organizational change
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development
• Strong risk management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing budgets, performance, and service delivery frameworks
• Relevant qualification in AOD, Social Work, Allied Health, or a related professional field
• Relevant professional registration or membership where applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading integrated AOD and mental health services
• Experience working with lived and living experience workforces
• Strong understanding of sector reform and emerging industry trends
• Established connections across the health, education, or community sectors
