About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee specialist Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services to ensure high-quality, person-centred care
- Drive service development and innovation to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, sector stakeholders, and internal teams
- Support and mentor team leaders through supervision, coaching, and professional guidance
- Manage operational performance, including budgets, service delivery, compliance, and risk management
- Champion integration across AOD and mental health systems to support sector reform
- Strengthen workforce capability, including supporting lived and living experience roles
Requirements
- Strong leadership experience within the AOD or broader human services sector
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage programs, and drive organizational change
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development
- Strong risk management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing budgets, performance, and service delivery frameworks
- Relevant qualification in AOD, Social Work, Allied Health, or a related professional field
- Relevant professional registration or membership where applicable
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading integrated AOD and mental health services
- Experience working with lived and living experience workforces
- Strong understanding of sector reform and emerging industry trends
- Established connections across the health, education, or community sectors
