Manager - Special Programs

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative management of the Special Programs team, including scheduling, staffing, budgets, procurement, and vendor coordination
• Plan and track prototype builds, field testing, and demonstrations to ensure milestones and resources stay aligned
• Offer technical input during design reviews to challenge assumptions and unblock the team
• Collaborate with the VP of Product and CTO to scope and prioritize new ideas
• Represent Special Programs to internal functions and external suppliers or customers

Requirements

• Experience managing small, fast-moving engineering or R&D teams in robotics, aerospace, or defense
• Technical literacy in autonomy, embedded systems, robotics, electrical, or mechanical engineering
• Ability to plan and execute against budgets, schedules, and resource constraints
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, low-process environments with compressed timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting prototype hardware development or field testing
• Experience with Government demonstrations
• Familiarity with defense acquisition, export controls, or classified program management
