Manager, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead effective delivery of sprint and quarterly goals
• Create clarity for the team regarding sprint, team, and career goals
• Identify and clear bottlenecks and roadblocks for the team
• Resolve production incidents for services owned by the team
• Monitor adherence to engineering best practices and defined processes
• Partner with Product Owners to scope features and break down deliverables
• Promote technical excellence and tackle technical debt
• Manage team morale, motivation, and personal development
• Lead recruiting efforts and make headcount recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in software delivery in a senior development or managerial capacity
• Proven track record applying software engineering practices and SDLC
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for software delivery management
• Ability to participate in high-level technical discussions
• Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex problems
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members
• Ability to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally
