Manager Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams with a focus on AI fluency, continuous learning, and innovation
• Own end-to-end delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions across the SDLC
• Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, and automation
• Identify and implement Generative AI use cases to improve products and developer productivity
• Partner with product, architecture, and data stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and strategy
• Mentor engineers in core software engineering and AI-assisted development practices
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, security, and responsible AI governance standards

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including modern cloud-native development
• 3+ years of people leadership experience managing high-performing engineering teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency in modern programming languages including Java, Python, or TypeScript
• Working knowledge of Generative AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, or prompt engineering)
• Proven ability to lead distributed or global teams and drive outcomes in complex organizations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading AI/ML or data-driven initiatives
• Deep understanding of data platforms, including data modeling and real-time processing
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and engineering productivity metrics (DORA, SPACE)
