Manager, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team to design, develop, and manage Nike's multi-cloud ecosystem and enterprise cloud solutions.
• Act as a primary technical leader for emerging cloud technology platforms, spending approximately half of your time designing and integrating cloud infra solutions.
• Drive organizational technical priorities and define engineering best practices.
• Manage and coach a team of highly talented software engineers, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth.
• Translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions and collaborate with cross-functional partners and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, specifically focused on cloud infrastructure in a multi-cloud ecosystem.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, including managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Extensive hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure automation tools including Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Golang, Java, or JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of modern architectural principles such as REST, microservices, DevOps, and domain-driven design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with front-end web technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and React.
• Knowledge of Linux OS imaging, patching, and administration.
• Experience implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions.
• Experience working in a technical leadership role within agile teams using a product model.
