Manager, Software Engineering - Identity Platform

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end identity verification lifecycle, including CIP, CDD, and continuous risk monitoring
• Build and operate systems enforcing KYC obligations and event-driven re-verification
• Drive AI-first automation to reduce manual review rates and increase efficiency in KYC/KYB decisioning
• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team to improve velocity and system reliability
• Act as a technical leader for customer and regulatory escalations
• Partner cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, Product, Operations, and Legal to shape the platform roadmap

Requirements

• 8–10+ years in engineering with 3+ years managing senior and staff engineers
• Deep backend engineering expertise in building and scaling systems
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and Python/Airflow
• Strong background in operational excellence and incident management
• AI-first mindset with experience applying AI/ML to automation
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with enterprise customers and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of identity verification, AML/BSA compliance, and fintech regulatory obligations
• Experience integrating with identity vendors like Trulioo, LexisNexis, Socure, or Alloy
• Background in fintech issuing platforms, core banking, or payments operations
• Prior ownership of KYC/KYB automation initiatives
