Manager, Software Engineering (AI Platform)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers building AI/ML foundations for product features
• Drive strategy and execution for AI/ML platform components including feature stores and distributed model training
• Manage model versioning, evaluation, monitoring, and automated retraining
• Implement responsible AI, explainability, and fairness frameworks
• Partner with Data Science and domain engineering teams to build scalable foundations for real-time and batch applications
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams
• Deep understanding of SDLC and Machine Learning Lifecycle (MLL)
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow, scikit-learn, or HuggingFace
• Proficiency in Python (preferred), Java, C#, or Scala
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, specifically GCP (BigQuery, GKE, GCS, DataFlow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI) or equivalent AWS/Azure services
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Ansible

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Experience with AI product lifecycle management and model governance
• Strong architectural instincts for AI/ML systems
• Proven track record of hiring and developing engineering talent
