Manager Software Development

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of firmware and/or systems engineers developing Wi-Fi access points
• Provide technical direction, architecture guidance, and design review leadership
• Mentor engineers, support career growth, and build a strong ownership culture
• Own execution plans, schedules, and deliverables for assigned product releases
• Drive on-time delivery across multiple parallel development tracks
• Partner with Product Management, QA, Systems, and Operations to ensure product quality and production readiness
• Champion reliability, performance, and security across the product lifecycle

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 13+ years of experience in networking or embedded systems development
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams
• Strong experience with Wi-Fi / wireless networking technologies
• Proficiency in C programming on Linux/Embedded Systems
• Deep understanding of embedded Linux, wireless drivers, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, NAT, Firewall)
• Experience taking hardware products through EVT/DVT/PVT to mass production

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 7 (802.11ax / 802.11be) access point development
• Familiarity with regulatory certifications (FCC, CE, IC)
• Experience with cloud-managed wireless networking platforms
