Manager Software Development

Responsibilities

• Participate in critical planning for project deliverables and software design
• Own and drive the software development lifecycle, including verification and product release
• Lead and grow the engineering skills of the team while maintaining high morale
• Perform individual goal planning and evaluations in accordance with company policies
• Drive critical issues and interface effectively with cross-functional teams
• Provide periodic management and executive updates
• Lead brainstorming sessions to drive innovation

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Deep knowledge of operating systems
• Experience in software architectural leadership
• Proven project management skills including scheduling and risk management
• Ability to work with global counterparts to ensure effective project delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hands-on software engineering or architectural leadership role
• Knowledge of embedded programming and skills
• Proven track record of delivering complex system software products on time
• Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities
• MBA is a plus
