About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the R&D team for selective finishing in the PCB and semiconductor sectors
- Plan, execute, and report on R&D projects related to product development, testing, and process optimization
- Support global R&D teams in developing and evaluating new products and processes
- Manage the plating line in accordance with standard operating procedures and HSE guidelines
- Oversee laboratory and plating line maintenance, equipment calibration, and bath chemistry upkeep
- Manage operational and CAPEX budgets and supervise SAP system usage for inventory and work tracking
- Create technical documentation, SOPs, and reports in compliance with ISO norms
- Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting for customers, including site visits when required
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in chemical, electrochemical, or surface treatment industries
- Mandatory experience in team handling and leadership
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a Master’s/PhD in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, or Electrochemistry)
- Strong background in Surface Treatment Technologies and electroplating processes
- Experience working in chemical laboratories and performing formulation development
- Experience with automated plating lines and troubleshooting plating defects
- Proven experience collaborating with global teams across different regions
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to drive innovation in technical environments
- Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) and interpreting complex experimental results
- Familiarity with ISO standards and document creation for certification
- In-depth knowledge of surfactants, polymers, and reaction mechanisms
