Manager, Security Firmware

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a security firmware engineering team delivering ROM and firmware security features across multiple SSD products
• Own security feature execution and delivery by planning capacity, prioritizing work, and managing cross-functional dependencies
• Drive secure development practices and technical strategy, including threat modeling, secure code reviews, and vulnerability management
• Establish and improve engineering processes using Agile methodologies and issue-tracking metrics
• Partner with security architecture, validation, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure design and certification readiness

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience managing security engineering teams
• Deep understanding of ROM and Firmware development lifecycles
• Expertise in firmware security, hardware security, and embedded systems architecture
• Strong communication and leadership skills to align priorities across multi-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on technical leadership experience including code reviews and mentoring engineers in secure coding
• Experience working with validation, signing, and infrastructure teams on secure development workflows
• Knowledge of enterprise storage security standards such as OCP, TCG, NVMe, PCIe, or IEEE 1667
• Ability to use data from issue tracking systems to drive process improvements and establish metrics-based goals
