About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a future-state scheduling operating model and redesign processes to align with system capabilities and collective agreements.
- Lead a team of master rotation specialists to design optimized master schedules and assess current scheduling practices across hospital units.
- Oversee the planning, sequencing, and implementation of master rotation redesigns across the organization.
- Act as a liaison between People & Culture, clinical operations, IT, and finance to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Support leaders and staff through transitions to new scheduling processes and tools to ensure a positive user experience.
- Provide guidance and leadership to a team of scheduling specialists and analysts to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, workforce management, or scheduling transformation.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing or configuring scheduling systems within a unionized healthcare environment.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to lead change in complex environments.
- Demonstrated experience in process redesign, business analysis, or project management.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scheduling platforms such as UKG or Kronos.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint, Power Apps, and Forms.
- Experience in large-scale system implementations or healthcare transformation projects.
