Manager - SAP BASIS

Responsibilities

• Provide overall ownership of SAP applications within SAP Operations, ensuring optimal performance and availability in an Azure hosting environment.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical issues and provide expert support to multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Manage SAP BASIS administration, housekeeping, and database management for Oracle and HANA.
• Oversee performance, capacity, and alert management across the SAP landscape.
• Drive change, release, and project management, including patching and upgrade planning/execution.
• Manage Azure Compute resources, including Linux, Compute, and Managed Disks.
• Ensure SOX compliance and address technical audit needs across the landscape.
• Resolve vulnerabilities within the SAP landscape and manage backup and restore processes.
• Partner with service providers and internal teams to improve service delivery and resolve issues timely.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of hands-on SAP Basis and Technical Architecture experience.
• Proven experience as an SAP BASIS Lead for a large-scale environment (50+ instances).
• Deep expertise in Database Management (Oracle & HANA) and Azure Compute Management.
• Technical proficiency in SAP ECC, APO, BW, PI/PO, Netweaver, Solution Manager, and GRC.
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle of SAP implementations, upgrades, or new deliveries.
• Experience with hybrid operations, including on-premise and cloud integrations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage escalations at the Director level.
• Ability to work effectively within a globally dispersed, multi-time-zone support team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong ability to influence technical discussions with senior management.
