Manager, Sanitation

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance
• Maintain and write detailed SOPs for all plant equipment and update the master cleaning schedule according to GMP guidelines
• Manage sanitation chemical supply, inventory, and ensure all safety requirements (MSDS, PPE, storage) are met
• Lead, coach, and motivate the sanitation team to support career progression and development
• Participate in facility audits and coordinate pre-operational inspections with QA Management
• Develop and implement sanitation-related training for both sanitation and plant employees

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related business equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in plant quality, food safety, or sanitation
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Environmental sanitation programs
• Understanding of basic microbiological principles
• Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with third-party regulatory agencies such as SQF, FDA, or USDA
