Manager, Sample Services

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Sample Services, including collection, processing, storage, and distribution of biospecimens
• Lead and mentor the Sample Services team, providing training and professional development
• Manage sample logistics, including shipping, tracking, inventory, and chain of custody
• Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in alignment with industry standards
• Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality indicators for operational excellence
• Assist the CAP Director in developing core policies for clinical trials and sample management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and safety regulations, including OSHA
• Perform data entry and verification within the LIMS database and generate operational reports
• Optimize sample storage, equipment usage, and workflow automation to improve efficiency

Requirements

• BS or MS in biological science, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience as a Biorepository supervisor or leadership role in high-volume biopharmaceutical/clinical laboratories
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, GLP, GCP, and GDPR
• Proficiency in KPI analysis and accurate biospecimen tracking/inventory management
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
