Manager, Sales Engineering

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to clients throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from initial contact to integration and go-live.
• Partner with Account Executives to position products, solutions, and services to help win deals.
• Map merchant requirements to APIs and products, creating solution designs and internal documentation.
• Conduct technical demos, build payment flow proofs-of-concept (POCs), and create customized presentations.
• Lead all technical interactions with merchants, including workshops, calls, and meetings.
• Support the BID Management Team with RFI and RFP responses.
• Provide feedback to internal product and technology teams to champion product improvements based on market needs.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Implementation Engineering.
• Proven experience in a technical, client-facing role.
• Proficiency with API-based integration methods and tools, specifically REST/JSON APIs and Postman.
• Experience with at least one front-end technology (JavaScript, React, Angular) and one back-end technology (Java, .NET, Python, Node, etc.).
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows.
• Fluency in both written and verbal English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate with both developers and C-level stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the payments industry, including knowledge of 3DS, Network Tokenisation, or fraud-risk engines.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PSD2/PSD3, FCA, or ISO-8583.
• Background in engineering, software development, or product management.
• Experience within the E-commerce industry.
