About the role
Responsibilities
- Apply statistical modeling and analytical techniques to produce and interpret stress testing and business-as-usual (BAU) forecast models across key banking portfolios.
- Support the end-to-end forecasting process, including data preparation, model execution, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and enhance forecasting frameworks and analytical processes to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Leverage Python and SQL to automate data processing, streamline forecast production, and improve analytical efficiency.
- Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to enhance model performance and validate results.
- Collaborate with business partners such as Treasury and Lines of Business to translate macroeconomic scenarios into portfolio-level impacts.
- Support the delivery of stress testing exercises (e.g., EWST, CCAR) and maintain data workflows, tools, and controls.
- Partner with model development and validation teams to ensure alignment on modeling approaches and support model governance activities.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in forecasting, stress testing, or quantitative analytics within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of statistical models, machine learning models, econometric techniques, and balance forecasting methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, data engineering, and model development.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical analysis into actionable business insights.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
