Manager, Quality Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and mentor the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor
• Audit picking, packing, shipping, and sanitation processes on the warehouse floor
• Lead site investigations into internal errors and customer complaints
• Establish acceptance/rejection parameters for incoming items
• Lead critical site CAPA and validation activities
• Develop, review, and deploy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and trend data to interpret quality signals
• Maintain strict adherence to GMPs and sanitation standards
• Direct preparation for third-party, customer, and regulatory audits (FDA/USDA/State)
• Supervise mock recall and traceability activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related technical field
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, or Process Engineering
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, or high-volume fulfillment
• Proficiency in Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
• Familiarity with FDA, USDA-AMS & FSIS, GFSI, FSMA regulations
• HACCP and SQF Practitioner certifications
• Ability to spend 50% of time on the warehouse floor in cold environments (36°F and below)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing or maintaining SQF, BRC, or ISO 9001 systems
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Spanish fluency
