Manager, Quality Engineering

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering professionals and lead quality planning and execution for Space Propulsion and Power Systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate quality standards into program execution and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead Quality Integrators across multiple programs to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Define and implement strategic initiatives to improve quality metrics, including cost of poor quality and non-conformances.
• Mentor and coach team members to develop organizational depth and a culture of technical excellence.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers and government representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of related Quality experience, OR
• Graduate Degree with 7+ years of related Quality experience, OR
• 13+ years of related Quality experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in aerospace product production.
• Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt) certification.
• Experience with APQP, Zero Defect Planning, EVM, or BOE.
• Proficiency in business analytics software such as Qlik, PowerBI, or Minitab.
• Experience interfacing with US government agencies or aerospace prime customers.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
