Manager, Quality Control

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Control department, including engineers, technicians, and inspectors
• Establish quality control objectives, performance metrics, and departmental goals
• Develop and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection programs
• Review and approve nonconforming material dispositions, containment plans, and corrective actions
• Oversee calibration programs for inspection, measurement, and testing equipment
• Monitor and report quality control metrics such as defects, scrap, and rework
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve product quality and process effectiveness
• Drive improvements in inspection methods and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or related field
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing quality control, inspection, or testing
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Experience managing incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
• Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methods
• Proficiency with inspection equipment and measurement tools
• Ability to interpret electro-mechanical diagrams and engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with first article inspections (FAI) and validation activities
• Knowledge of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of electrical equipment manufacturing and testing
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
