Manager, QA/QC

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality assurance and control systems to ensure product conformity and food safety compliance.
• Manage the annual QA department budget and ensure availability of department materials.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the QA team.
• Develop and maintain the quality management system, including handling deviations and nonconformances.
• Guide internal and external quality audit processes, including BRC, customer audits, and GMP inspections.
• Implement and promote food safety standards using GMP, SOP, and HACCP methodologies.
• Track, report, and resolve internal and external product or delivery complaints.
• Coordinate with procurement to approve suppliers based on GMP and quality standards.
• Participate in the global quality team to implement global requirements at the local site.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Quality Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in quality control/assurance within a food processing facility.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong knowledge of investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience using enterprise Quality Management Software.
