Manager - Projects Unit

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of a portfolio of energy infrastructure projects in New York
• Manage team performance to ensure projects meet baseline budgets, schedules, scope, and quality standards
• Identify interdependencies within the project portfolio and resolve interactions among projects
• Implement risk management and mitigation strategies to control project scope and potential changes
• Produce regular briefings and status reports for executives and regulatory agencies
• Represent the company in regulatory and public forums or proceedings
• Develop procurement strategies for materials and labor to meet project requirements
• Ensure compliance with FERC, NERC, and other applicable regulatory standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical or civil preferred) or a related field
• 7 years of relevant project or engineering management experience
• 3 years of experience managing complex strategic or regulatory programs
• Proven experience managing large teams of technical experts
• Expertise in risk management, mitigation planning, and data analysis
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Project (or Primavera)
• Experience with SAP financial systems
• Knowledge of distribution, transmission, or substation capital projects
• Understanding of regulatory environments and the filing/approval processes at State, Local, and Federal levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• MBA degree
