Manager, Product Development, HB/SLG

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end product development process for Handbags and Small Leather Goods from concept through production
• Collaborate with Design to translate creative vision into executable products that align with commercial priorities
• Oversee the creation and approval of BOMs and Tech Packs, ensuring accuracy, cost targets, and compliance
• Manage development calendars to ensure timely delivery of prototypes, SMS, and confirmation samples
• Lead costing analysis by reviewing cost breakdown sheets, yields, and component costs to meet financial goals
• Own product integrity by reviewing construction methods, logo usage, and coordinating wear testing
• Manage and develop direct reports through coaching, training, and performance feedback
• Partner with manufacturing partners and cross-functional teams to resolve technical or supplier issues

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Handbag/SLG product development, sourcing, or production
• Strong analytical and math skills with the ability to interpret costing and margins
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
