Manager, Procurement

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a procurement business plan and long-term departmental goals for Indirect Materials.
• Lead and manage a team of Buyers located in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
• Ensure all material requirements are delivered on time, in the correct quantity, and at optimal quality.
• Manage procurement policies, procedures, and service contracts to enhance organizational efficiency and mitigate supply chain risk.
• Monitor, review, and analyze supplier bids and quotes to drive cost savings and value.
• Collaborate with Planning, Inventory Control, Quality Control, and Warehouse teams to coordinate deliveries and urgent needs.
• Conduct business reviews with key stakeholders to assess risk and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Oversee sourcing strategies, including targets, timelines, and resource planning across all categories within the span of control.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of managerial experience.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
