Manager - Procurement - Operational Strategy

Responsibilities

• Advise clients across various sectors to support the development and implementation of strategic transformations.
• Take a leading role on the ground with clients, working as a credible and visible member of joint EY-client teams.
• Lead specific workstreams and manage project progress through action tracking, project plans, and cost/benefit analysis.
• Perform financial analysis and scenario modelling to support decision-making and execution.
• Support new business development efforts by qualifying targets, assisting in pitches, and preparing go-to-market collateral.
• Coach and counsel junior team members to support their professional development.

Requirements

• Professional services or strategy consulting experience (either in consulting or a combination of consulting and industry roles).
• Proven track record in delivering third-party spend opportunity assessments.
• Experience managing cost reduction delivery programmes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to link operational analysis to financial statements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence and align senior decision-makers.
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and client-ready reports and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across priority sectors such as Consumer & Retail, Industrials, Energy, Life Sciences, or TMT.
• Expertise in multiple spend categories, including both Direct and Indirect spend.
• Experience in supporting sales and business development processes within a large-scale consulting environment.
• A track record of delivering cost transformation with clear, quantified impact.
