Manager, Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams to build a high-performing, scalable organization.
• Define and execute platform engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
• Drive development of core platform capabilities across Kubernetes, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Oversee the design and operation of container orchestration and cloud-native platforms.
• Partner with DevEx to optimize CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and release processes.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation-first practices.
• Provide technical leadership on system design, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, and other engineering teams to manage dependencies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with proven leadership skills.
• Experience building and scaling platform or infrastructure engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and build systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
