Manager, Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical interface to lead consultation and support on complex integrations leveraging Capital One APIs, File Transfers, Gateways, and integration services
• Support the full integration lifecycle to improve the partner experience based on user feedback
• Reduce integration friction and cycle times while safeguarding high-risk data flows in production environments
• Lead strategic projects to expand services internationally and to new assets
• Bridge the gap between technical teams by converting intricate partner error logs into clear solutions for internal teams
• Participate in on-call duties on a rotational schedule to manage incident-related support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or military experience
• At least 4 years of experience in client-facing professional services
• At least 4 years of experience in system integration technologies, standards, and tools (e.g., RESTful APIs, Authentication methods, JSON, Postman, File Transfer protocols)
• Ability to handle ambiguity, dive deep, and conduct detailed analysis to identify root causes
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with senior leaders and engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering
• Experience with standard web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and mobile development
• Knowledge of financial and payments industries and emerging technology trends
• Exposure to Agile methodology
• Strong understanding of data management technologies and processes
