Manager, Plant Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

• Manage the plant quality assurance function, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety systems.
• Direct and coordinate quality assurance activities and interface with the group office.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance standard operating procedures (SOPs), methods, and equipment to meet customer requirements.
• Lead quality investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective preventive and corrective actions.
• Prepare, coordinate, and conduct internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of all identified action items.
• Oversee the Hold for Inspection (HFI) and embargo processes to reduce or eliminate occurrences.
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and execute continuous improvement plans.
• Maintain a safe work environment by performing inspections, facilitating safety meetings, and investigating accidents.
• Manage customer and vendor claim reimbursement systems and work with suppliers on quality issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience with GMP, SQF, BRC, ISO, FSSC, or HACCP preferred.
• Experience in a cross-functional manufacturing environment (e.g., production, engineering) preferred.
• Experience with pest control programs preferred.
