Manager, Plant Environmental Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Direct the plant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) function to drive accountability and ensure compliance with safety plans and objectives.
• Lead and implement plant EHS processes, including accident investigations, corrective actions, safety inspections, audits, and lockout/tagout.
• Drive best-in-class safety culture change initiatives and behavioral-based safety programs with a zero-incident focus.
• Partner with leadership and corporate teams to drive ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 plant-level initiatives.
• Manage environmental programs and regulatory compliance, including hazardous waste, air, storm water, and wastewater discharge programs.
• Develop and facilitate training on EHS initiatives, DOT compliance, and required OSHA/environmental training.
• Compile data and prepare required regulatory reports for federal, state, and local authorities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for agency, company, and community EHS inquiries.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
• 3+ years of environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• 3+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Significant experience with OSHA regulations and principles, including Voluntary Protection Programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information confidentially.
