Manager, Plant Environmental Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Direct the plant EHS function and drive accountability for environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure outstanding safety performance.
• Lead and implement the development of plant EHS processes, including accident investigations, corrective actions, safety inspections, and audits.
• Drive best-in-class safety culture change initiatives and behavioral-based safety programs with a zero-incident focus.
• Partner with leadership and corporate teams to drive ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 plant-level initiatives.
• Manage environmental programs and regulatory compliance, including hazardous waste, air, storm water, and wastewater discharge programs.
• Develop and facilitate training on EHS initiatives, DOT compliance, and required OSHA/environmental training.
• Compile data and prepare required regulatory reports for federal, state, and local authorities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for agency, company, and community EHS inquiries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience in environmental, health, and safety.
• Significant experience with OSHA regulations and principles, including Voluntary Protection Programs.
• Broad training in a related field, typically acquired through college or professional work experience.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
