Manager Planning & Inventory Control

Responsibilities

• Oversee capacity planning and demand planning to ensure smooth production output and resource optimization.
• Manage inventory, production scheduling, product life cycle planning, and warehouse efficiency.
• Drive accountability for materials teams through performance goals and scorecard metrics.
• Design, implement, and monitor materials policies, programs, and systems.
• Partner with sales, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to ensure effective material flow.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of professional growth and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in materials, purchasing, supply chain, or related functions.
• APICS Certification with demonstrated application of the Body of Knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of MRP systems and inventory optimization.
• LEAN training with practical leadership application experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Experience in customized manufacturing environments with multi-level Bills of Material.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in multi-plant management and managing vertically integrated plant relationships.
• Experience with JIT (Just-in-Time) in demand-driven or continuous flow environments.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking technologies such as Voice, Barcodes, or RFID.
