About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and monitoring of large-scale construction programs using Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis
- Review and analyze procurement and construction programmes from contractors, subcontractors, and utilities
- Monitor and amend contractor baseline programmes of work on a day-to-day basis
- Provide detailed progress reports, graphs, and critical path analysis for weekly and monthly updates
- Identify project risks and opportunities, providing mitigation strategies to maintain completion dates
- Conduct independent site visits to evaluate actual progress against the construction programme
- Support the Cost Control Team by evaluating programme risks related to additional works and variation proposals
- Investigate potential delay events, determine concurrent delays, and prepare prospective and retrospective delay analyses
- Review, defend, and present Extension of Time (EoT) claims using Time Impact Analysis and other contract mechanisms
- Assist in negotiations, arbitration, or other forms of dispute resolution
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of demonstrable experience in project planning and administration for large-scale projects
- Extensive experience within the Middle East consulting industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Expert knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis
- Proven expertise in delay analysis, EoT claims, and contract mechanisms
