About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a donor portfolio with a focus on foundations and government grants to achieve annual revenue goals of $1.5 million+.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify, solicit, secure, and steward new and existing donors.
- Serve as the primary point person for grant administration, including managing complex application, reporting, and compliance processes.
- Conduct ongoing research on funding opportunities and stay apprised of industry trends.
- Prepare briefing notes, correspondence, persuasive proposals, and impact reports.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM, including prospect meetings, proposal tracking, and gift agreements.
- Represent the Development Department on museum committees and at external functions.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in foundation and grant administration and major gift fundraising.
- Proven experience in developing and designing persuasive proposals and project budgets.
- Demonstrated success in managing a donor portfolio and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong project management skills with high attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, fundraising applications, and spreadsheets.
- University degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience working within a complex non-profit organization.
