About the Company

DESRI (formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States. We have acquired or developed approximately 13 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 85 renewable energy projects in 24 states.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day People Operations execution, including health and welfare benefits administration and 401(k) oversight
• Manage broker and vendor relationships, benefits benchmarking, and renewal coordination
• Own the Rippling HRIS, ensuring data integrity, system optimization, and reporting functionality
• Partner with Finance to manage payroll from a Human Capital standpoint and support employee payroll inquiries
• Oversee leave programs (FMLA, state-specific leaves, disability) to ensure compliance
• Coordinate immigration processes for impacted employees
• Drive process improvements and generate reporting to inform leadership decisions

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required
• At least 5 years of experience in Human Capital or People Operations
• Expertise in benefits administration and HRIS ownership/administration
• Strong knowledge of health and welfare benefits compliance and federal/state leave laws
• Experience partnering with Finance on payroll coordination and review
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical capabilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting HR systems implementations, migrations, or evaluations
• Exposure to employment-based immigration processes and coordination with external counsel
