Manager, Payroll Tax & Audit Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day payroll tax and audit management research to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards for payroll tax management
• Develop and maintain Excel and Access databases to support audit administration and payroll processes
• Manage relationships within defined SLAs to provide research, resolution, and support to HR, accounting, and benefits administrators
• Evaluate processes and procedural documents to identify opportunities for increased efficiency
• Support periodic and cumulative audit processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual activities
• Perform real-time data stream comparative audits and deliver fallout reports for expedited resolution
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting for various internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• 6+ years of US and Canadian payroll tax management experience
• Experience with top-tier payroll, HRIS, or accounting systems such as UltiPro, Workday, or SAP
• Proven experience in payroll audit, control, and quality assurance
• Experience in payroll accounting, including GL posting, accruals, and reconciliation of payroll expenses
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
• Strong customer relationship and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Basic familiarity with SQL query writing
