About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the technical design and development of data models using SQL, Alteryx, or Excel to identify and quantify wage compliance risks
- Work with subject matter specialists to understand business requirements and identify relevant data sources
- Collaborate with clients to identify root causes of wage compliance issues and support the development of remediation plans
- Assess data quality, validate inputs, and determine impacted employee cohorts
- Conduct testing, perform root cause analysis, and assess potential fixes
- Document findings, prepare working papers, and develop reports to support analysis outcomes
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and quality oversight to junior team members
Requirements
- Minimum of four years’ experience developing data models using SQL, Alteryx, or Excel
- Experience analysing large and complex payroll and time and attendance datasets
- Proven experience leading small teams, including task allocation and quality review
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, law, business, IT, or a related field
- Ability to translate complex business and legislative requirements into technical specifications
