Manager - Payroll Compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical design and development of data models using SQL, Alteryx, or Excel to identify and quantify wage compliance risks
• Work with subject matter specialists to understand business requirements and identify relevant data sources
• Collaborate with clients to identify root causes of wage compliance issues and support the development of remediation plans
• Assess data quality, validate inputs, and determine impacted employee cohorts
• Conduct testing, perform root cause analysis, and assess potential fixes
• Document findings, prepare working papers, and develop reports to support analysis outcomes
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and quality oversight to junior team members

Requirements

• Minimum of four years’ experience developing data models using SQL, Alteryx, or Excel
• Experience analysing large and complex payroll and time and attendance datasets
• Proven experience leading small teams, including task allocation and quality review
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, law, business, IT, or a related field
• Ability to translate complex business and legislative requirements into technical specifications
