Manager Operations (Nursing)-Labor and Delivery/Triage

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous management of nursing teams within the Labor and Delivery/Triage department, overseeing day-to-day operations, staffing, and 24/7 accountability.
• Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets, including explaining variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Supervise team members by providing coaching, conducting annual and mid-year reviews, and ensuring clinical competencies are maintained.
• Ensure department policies and processes comply with Joint Commission standards and all federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage clinical escalations and coordinate resources to meet patient requirements and age-specific needs.
• Recommend department goals to leadership and drive progress through effective change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing; Master's degree in nursing preferred (or currently enrolled in a master's program with expected completion within one year).
• Three years of nursing or healthcare experience with demonstrated increasing responsibilities.
• Current clinical license in the state where the hospital resides.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Magnet recognized specialty certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in Women's and Infant Services.
