About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision for plant operations staff, including technicians, schedulers, foremen, and craft employees.
  • Manage multiple operations and maintenance functions such as commissioning, control room operations, IC&E, and water treatment.
  • Ensure long-term equipment reliability and availability through effective maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Oversee plant safety programs, including training certifications, compliance, and tag-out procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date environmental and permit requirements and ensure timely submission of compliance reports.
  • Manage human resources functions, including performance reviews, recruiting, and staff development.
  • Assist in the development and administration of plant operating budgets and monitor costs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, degree from a technical/vocational school, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in power plant operation and maintenance.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role or as a senior-level contributor.
  • Proficiency in analyzing control logic diagrams, P&IDs, and other technical materials.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
  • Valid state driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
